Cultural Identity

Research has shown that for people who have ties to multiple cultures, being "bicultural" or being able to integrate those cultures has the best mental health outcomes. This applies to rates of depression, anxiety, disordered eating, distress, family and peer relationships, and more.

The question becomes, "How can I become bicultural?"

Often, we are struggling with feeling "not enough" to belong to any culture. We can work together to better understand the ties you have to each culture, the sociocultural implications on your experiences, and the ways you can strengthen your cultural identities.
